Do you like color, consider yourself on-trend, or simply love flowers? If so, you need to take a look at Camille and Ty’s wedding. Nestled in the heart of Texas, New Braunfels is a picturesque town steeped in rich culture and history. It’s a place where southern charm meets vibrant celebrations, and for Camille and Ty, it became the perfect backdrop for their colorful wedding. On September 29, 2023, the two of them joined family and friends and started their forever.

The Chapel at Gruene naturally created the ambiance for their wedding day, and to add to the venue’s charm, the weather could not have been more perfect. The open-air chapel was transformed into a garden of Eden by Emily Reynolds Design. Greenery was added to the ceiling and floral pillars at the altar. Thankfully smilax was in season, making the lush-draping look possible.

Camille’s style was evident to anyone who attended. When her guests arrived, they immediately knew they were at Camille and Ty’s wedding. Some of our favorite details on their wedding day were;

The veil and gloves that Camille wore are two items I can honestly say I have not seen on a wedding day before. Her gloves were embroidered with “to have and to hold” and “to love and to cherish”. As for her veil, she brought back the iconic 50’s blusher, but with a modern twist.

Dance floor props are a must in our eyes, as they bring a spark of energy and an element of surprise to the guests. With roughly an hour and a half left of the evening, sunglasses were passed out to guests on the dance floor.

I have been to a lot of weddings, and I have never heard anyone complain about a dessert bar. Nothing was spared with the assortment of desserts offered to Camille and Ty’s guests.

Early into the planning process, we began working on Camille’s table design. Besides knowing we wanted to incorporate color, words like; whimsical, elevated, and dainty were used when designing. Thanks to Cat Haus Rentals, we were able to turn Camille’s vision into reality.

The bar can easily be overlooked when it comes to setup, but that was not the case for today. There was a floral arrangement paired with the bar sign, and at the base of the bar was greenery similar to the ceremony site. *Pro tip- 90% of your guests will visit the bar at one point throughout the evening. It is a space you definitely want to think about when it comes to design.

Mix-matched bridesmaid dresses have become a trend that we are all about! if the venue and wedding aesthetics can be paired with the mix-matched look, then I say go for it. Not only will it add character, but your bridesmaids will be able to re-wear their dresses. Here are some tips when trying to put this look together.

• Have an assortment of fabrics; chiffon, silk, tulle, crepe, etc.
• A variety of dress lengths between floor and ankle length is a good thing
• Incorporating solids and patterns gives depth
• Different necklines and sleeve lengths are a good thing
